EDITOR: I am extremely upset over
the removal of the mascot for Tomales High School. Both
sides of my family, the Cherrigans and the Borellos, were proud to have
the Braves as their mascot, and it was never used or
thought of in a disparaging manner.
If those behind this change want
to promote sensitivity then they should go hug an abused child, take
household goods to a senior citizen in need because of the rising power
bills, or go feed a homeless person.
Leave my family and the
commun-ity's youth and history alone.
